
Super Duplex Flanges are an improved version of standard duplex flanges with superior characteristics that make them desirable in numerous applications. The key to understanding their advantages lies in the basic properties of Super Duplex steel.
Super Duplex steel is a type of stainless steel which is about 50% austenitic and 50% ferritic. This precise proportionality contributes to a rich concoction of features, enhancing the strength and durability of the flanges manufactured from it. Compared to regular duplex flanges, Super Duplex flanges offer superior mechanical properties and better corrosion resistance.
One of the standout properties of Super Duplex Flanges is their high mechanical strength. Thanks to the steel's dual-phase microstructure, these flanges exhibit excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, fatigue, and erosion. However, this strength does not come at the cost of ductility, allowing the flanges to be effectively used in situations requiring heavy loads and high pressure.
Super Duplex flanges also boast remarkable corrosion resistance, a feature inherent to their chemical composition. They are highly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion, typical issues in environments with high chloride content. Moreover, they offer superior resistance to sulphide stress corrosion, making them perfect for harsh conditions. These properties make Super Duplex flanges suitable for high thermal stability applications.
The welding properties of Super Duplex Flanges are also commendable. They are weldable by most standard methods, although care needs to be taken to avoid harmful intermetallic phases, which can cause a loss of toughness and corrosion resistance.
Super Duplex Flanges stand out due to their high mechanical strength and corrosion resistance. Their advantageous thermal properties and ease of welding make them even more versatile. Despite their superior attributes, it's important to remember that they require thoughtful handling, especially during welding and heat treatment, to maintain these beneficial properties. Products are packaged to ensure that there is no damage during transit. In case of exports, standard export packaging is done in wooden cases. All pipes are marked with Grade, Lot No, Size, Degree and our trade mark. On special requests we can also, make custom marking on our products.
At JF Engineering Products LLP, all fasteners are subject to strict inspection at each stage of the production process, from starting material purchasing to product dispatch. They are visually examined for conformity to ASTM, ASME, MSS, DIN, EN, and JIS codes and standards. Upon request, official certified Inspection Agencies can be called in to witness the material reports, dimensions and quality conformity of products.

Delivery time and delivery dates are based on the "type and quantity" of steel ordered. Our sales team will provide a delivery schedule when quoting to you. On rare occasions the delivery schedule may change so please check with our sales department when placing any orders.
Orders will be sent out within 2-3 business days, and may take up to 5-10 business days in transit. If fastener is out of stock, orders may take up to 2-4 weeks to ship. JF Engineering Products LLP will notify buyer if this situation occurs.
